AQS Daytona Beach Quilt Show

Updated: Apr 11, 2022

We are in full swing here in Daytona; attending classes, purchasing fabric and quilty things from vendors, and oohing and ahhing on the plethora of quilts hailed from around the world—the should be reason we are all here. There are unbelievable quilts here that give me goosebumps. There are inspiring quilts that I can't wait to get home and start something new and exciting. Ideas are bouncing around my head and heart!

It seemed everyone was having a good time since all shows like this one have been dormant for too long due to Covid etc. Local shows are also trying to make a comeback. The camaraderie was palpable. The energy in the large Ocean Convention Center was electric!

There was so much going on today that I did not get down to the beach. At. All. I will change that tomorrow. However, not going to the beach today meant I had an awesome Long-Arm class first thing this morning with Susie Stevenson, along with visiting vendors and checking out the fascinating quilts. When we all met back at the condo, we shared (show-n-tell) what we purchased, and I shared that when I viewed all the quilts in the show, it was the juxtaposition of the colors used in the quilts that drew me into my favorites.
