Family get-togethers, especially in Ohio, have been few and far between in the last couple of years. Everyone knows why.
Since Memorial Day weekend signals the start of summer, along with my brother-in-law Jerry's birthday today, and my nephew, Nathan's tomorrow, we made the trip—caravan style (two vehicles) for the celebration and Kelleys Island next week.
So here's wishing a Happy Birthday to both Jerry and Nate! And a shout out to my sister Kimberly who prepared a delicious meal of lasagna and all the fixings for the party.
