NeedleOnFull is in full swing in 2025! I'm blessed to create treasured keepsakes for others, including my feature T-shirt quilts, plus baby quilts and other quilted (or sewn) projects.
As we know, every year is the “year of the baby.” Last year, my daughter had hers, but a new slew of tiny humans are arriving on the planet each day. Yesterday, my good friend and travel gal pal, Linda, finally revealed the birth of her second grandson, Hugo! He was two weeks “late.”
My cousin Shelly texted me that her youngest son and his wife had their first son, Frank, two days ago. (That is the young woman who wrote me the most delightful thank you card for a joint baby shower gift - and is one of those "lingering inspirations" I've posted about).
Besides my T-shirt quilts, it’s baby quilt make-up time! I have a few quilts in my cache to mail to their new keepers. One other youngster was born last year, and I still need to mail out her quilt (she’s probably walking/talking by now, but I would still love her to have a “lovey” quilt - or at least that’s what I’m telling myself).
A few months ago, I bought an elephant quilt pattern I plan to take and make on an upcoming retreat (February). I’ve already gathered some fabrics to make these adorable creatures.
More of my inventory — unfinished quilts — in my Long-Arm room needs quilting (sewing the three layers together). I stare at them every day as I go back into the fray. Some have backs and are waiting patiently for me to get to them, and some need me to "build their backs" (cut and sew 5-6 yards of fabric to make one big piece). Hopefully, those quilt tops have even more patience with me!
It’s a simple panel with cozy yellow fleece on the back. I hope a youngin’ will like it!
I had to add the second pic to see the these animals and their cheesy smiles and grins.
bSoleille!
