Actually, the stars up I am referring to are planets in the galaxy: Venus and Jupiter. They are super bright things, and I couldn't believe the photo I captured from my iPhone this evening right before sundown. A couple of rays left, and I snapped away at the skyline with glee, along with the Waxing Cresent phase of the moon (though not clear in the photo).
The kids' favorite book back in the day, Goodnight Moon, came to mind. However, the moon today, and in the next few days, has some bright competition to keep it waxing and waning through the night.
For giggles, we may want to add, Goodnight, Moon, Venus, and Jupiter!
