I love pickleball! Even in winter 🥶!
Of course, outdoor courts are great in the summer for tennis and pickleball, but once the temperature dips, going indoors is the next best thing. So, when a fellow soccer referee, Ref Bill, as we like to refer to him, who also plays pickleball and contacted me a couple weeks ago wondering if one of us would like to partner with him in a local league, all three of us raised our hands.
Ref Bill didn't care who would be his teammate, so Ryan stepped up and claimed that spot. They are the Cucumber Crushers! That left hubby Bill and I as teammates. We are the Pickleball 🐼 Pandas, and we are going to wear black and white sports attire each week.
Tonight we dipped our toes into league play. Ref Bill and Ryan won their match, but Bill and I weren't so lucky. Plenty more weeks ahead to even out the scores.
A brand new indoor facility called The Putaway with (8) courts in Millersville, Maryland, is where you can find us on Tuesday evenings.
